About Patti
I have always had an affinity for drawing. I spent my childhood in Washington, DC and developed an interest in the many historical buildings in the area. Because of these two interests, I decided at an early age that I would grow up to be an architect. As sometimes happens, time and circumstance intervened and I became a teacher instead, all the while continuing to develop my drawing skills.
Thirty-four years later, at my family's urging, I retired from teaching to pursue my dream of being an artist. I specialize in "building portraits..." pen and pencil sketches of houses, churches, college campus buildings, or any structure that holds a personal connection to my clients. I also do portraits of animals and people.
I currently live in Williamsburg, Virginia with my husband and have two adult sons who live with their families in the Washington, DC area.
I look forward to working with you!
